The House I (mostly) grew up in!

The last time I was in Detroit was two years ago. I took some pictures and lost them all when I returned home to download them, the camera puked or something and they never went down on the hdd. I was NOT happy! Well anyway, it dawned on me that every time I went home and took pictures of the neighborhood, I would be standing on our porch and we would never take a picture of our house. It isn't really all that much to look at, but at least I finally got a picture of it.



I think it is a good thing that I finally did, because it could have been a situation where we would never have been able to get one, because in February of this year, an electrical fire occurred and my mom happened to have not gone to bed, so she was able to get out of the house safely.

I am not going to post pics of the damage, but if you absolutely want to see some of them, then just ask me and I will show you. Right now, my brother is trying to get the house liveable again so that my mom can move back in. She is retired and from her quality of life and the way she lives to be happy, a senior home or apartment would not suit her. So back into the house she goes!
